When Bluedeer makes a page (an HTML file, such as a dashboard or a live page), the web app shows it beside the chat: the chat stays on the left, and the page takes the right half of the window.
The side panel
- A new page opens by itself. When a page arrives in the reply Bluedeer is writing, the panel opens with it.
- The reply shows a small card with the page's name and Open. Click it to show that page in the panel. While a page is in the panel, its card says Showing. Pages in a chat you open again stay as cards until you click one.
- Switch pages by clicking another page's card. The panel keeps the pages you opened loaded while it's open, so going back to one shows it as you left it, with its data.
- Resize by dragging the line between the chat and the panel, or select the line and use the arrow keys. Double-click it to go back to half and half. Your browser remembers the width.
- The same buttons as everywhere else are at the top of the panel: Comment (to point at a part of the page and ask Bluedeer to change it, see How do I ask Bluedeer to change part of a page?), Share, Export (PDF or HTML), Permissions and Comments for a live page, and Open fullscreen.
- Close with the ✕ at the top right of the panel, or press Escape. Opening another chat closes the panel too.
A live page reopened from the panel shows what it read at once and checks for changes in the background, so closing and opening it again is quick.
In a narrow window there is no room for both, so pages show inside the reply as before.
Keep pages in the chat
Open Settings → App & System and choose under Show pages:
- Side panel (the default): pages open beside the chat, on the right half of the window.
- In the chat: pages show inside the reply that made them, with their buttons and Open fullscreen.
This choice is kept by each browser.
On the phone and tablet
On a phone, a page in a chat is a card that opens the page full screen. On a tablet held wide enough (landscape on most iPads and Android tablets), the page opens in a side panel beside the chat, like on the web: drag the line between them to resize it, use the full screen button in its bar, or close it with ✕. On a tablet, Settings → App has Show pages under Appearance, with the same two choices; in In the chat, the card opens the page full screen. Phones don't show it.
