What is a temporary chat?

A temporary chat is not saved to your history, has no share link, saves no memories, and ends when you leave it.

Use a temporary chat when you do not want a conversation kept in your history. These steps are for the web app.

Start a temporary chat

Click Temporary chat in the top bar. The button stays highlighted while the chat is open, and a notice reads Temporary chat — not saved to history.

What is different

  • The chat is not saved to your history, so it does not appear in your list of chats.
  • There is no Share conversation button, so you cannot create a share link for it.
  • It does not save memories.
  • It has a time limit. When the time runs out, Bluedeer says the chat has expired and offers a New chat button.
  • Reloading the page ends it, because the chat's access is kept only in the open page.

End a temporary chat

Click Temporary chat again. Its tooltip reads Leave temporary chat. The notice says that access ends when you leave the chat, so you cannot continue it afterwards.
