Bluedeer does not share your location with the assistant unless you allow it. It never uses GPS or your exact address.
What is shared when it is on
When Share approximate location is on, the assistant gets your city or region with each message, so answers about the weather, places near you or local times can fit where you are. The place is estimated from your network address, so it can be wrong, for example on a VPN or while travelling. You can always tell the assistant where you are instead.
When the assistant asks
If a question depends on where you are and sharing is off, the assistant may show a card in the chat: Share your approximate location with Bluedeer?
- Allow turns Share approximate location on, and the assistant answers with your city or region.
- Not now keeps it off. The assistant does not ask again in that chat.
Turn it on or off
On the web, open Settings, then AI & Chat, and use the Share approximate location switch under Location. On the phone it is in Settings under AI & Chat. The setting is yours: it applies in every workspace you are in, and nobody else in a team workspace can change it.
