Open Bluedeer

What are the buttons on an empty new chat?

A new chat shows three starter buttons, Explore an idea, Make sense of a file and Build a plan, and a Continue where you left off card that reopens your most recent chat.

These steps are for the web app.

When you open a new chat, before you type anything, the screen shows three starter buttons and, if you have used Bluedeer before, a card to pick up your last chat.

The three starter buttons

  • Explore an idea starts a chat where Bluedeer helps you shape an early thought. It sends a message for you that asks Bluedeer to ask you one focused question at a time.
  • Make sense of a file opens the window where you choose files, the same window as the Attach files button in the message box. Choose the file you want to understand or refine, and then send your message as usual.
  • Build a plan starts a chat where Bluedeer helps you turn an outcome and its limits into clear next steps. It sends a message for you that asks what outcome you want and what limits matter.

Explore an idea and Build a plan send their message straight away, so you do not need to type anything first. Make sense of a file sends nothing by itself; it waits until you choose a file. If you want to write your own message instead, ignore the buttons and type in the Message Bluedeer... box at the bottom of the screen.

If the workspace you are in needs a seat that you do not have, the starter buttons are greyed out.

Continue where you left off

Under the starter buttons, the card Continue where you left off shows the chat you changed most recently. It shows the chat's title, or Untitled Conversation if it has none, and the time you last changed it if that was today, or the date if it was earlier.

Click the card to open that chat again with everything in it. The card is not shown if you have no earlier chats.

To see older chats, use the sidebar. See How do I search my chats?
