Bluedeer reads skills in the same format as Claude: a SKILL.md file with a name and a description at the top, and the instructions below. These steps are for the web app. For the phone, see Use skills on the phone.
- Open Customization → Skills.
- Select Add, then Upload skill file.
- Choose a SKILL.md file, or a .zip with one skill in it. You can also drop the file on the box. A file can be up to 2 MB.
- Bluedeer reads it and opens the form with everything it found: the name, command, description, instructions, example requests and any text files. Nothing is saved yet.
- Check the draft and change anything you like, then select Save.
What is left out
Bluedeer runs no code, and a skill never adds tools. So the form lists under Left out anything Bluedeer cannot use, with the reason, for example:
- Scripts and programs in the .zip.
- The allowed-tools setting at the top of SKILL.md. Bluedeer decides which tools a chat can use.
If the check finds something
Bluedeer checks every uploaded skill for hidden text, instructions that try to override its rules, requests to send information somewhere or for passwords, links, and attempts to change permissions. If it finds something, the form shows each finding with the text it found. Tick the box to confirm you checked them, then select Save anyway.
If the upload is refused
The upload is refused if the file has no SKILL.md, the SKILL.md has no name or description, the .zip holds more than one skill, or the file is too large. The message says which.
