Share a skill with your workspace

In a shared workspace, a skill you made can be for you only or for everyone in the workspace. If the workspace has admins approve shares first, yours waits for approval.

Sharing is only within a shared workspace. In your personal workspace, your skills are always yours alone. There is no public directory. These steps are for the web app. For the phone, see Use skills on the phone.

Share your skill

  1. Open Customization → Skills → Yours in the shared workspace.
  2. Select ⋯ next to your skill, then Share… (or open the skill and select Share).
  3. Choose Only me or Everyone in followed by the workspace's name, then select Save.

When it is shared, everyone in the workspace finds it in Discover, under New skills, with the line "shared by" and your name. They can read all of it, add it and make their own copy. Only you can change it.

Waiting for approval

The workspace's owner and admins choose whether members' shares go out at once or wait for approval. If they wait, your skill shows Waiting for approval until an owner or admin approves it. Until then only you can use it. If they decline it, it goes back to Only me.

The owner and admins share without waiting.

Skills shared by others

A skill someone else shared is read-only for you. To change it, open it and select Make a copy. Your copy is private until you share it.
