These steps are for the web app. For the phone, see Use skills on the phone.
Open Discover
- Select Customization in the sidebar (or select More, then Customization).
- The page opens at Skills, on Discover. To see your own skills, select Yours in the Yours | Discover toggle.
Discover shows:
- From Bluedeer: one featured skill, with Add and Try.
- For you: skills picked for you. Skills that work with the apps you connected come first.
- New skills: skills people shared in this workspace, newest first. Select Show all to see every one.
- A section for each category: Writing, Sales, Support, Productivity, Research and Data.
Select a card to read the whole skill, including its full instructions and its files. Nothing about a skill is hidden.
Search, filter and sort
- Type in Search skills to find skills by name or description.
- Filter narrows the list to one category. In Discover, Works with my apps shows only skills that use an app you connected, or the web. In a shared workspace, Made by my team shows only skills people shared there.
- Sort orders the list by Popular, Newest or A–Z.
Try a skill
Select Try on a card. A new chat starts and sends an example request with the skill chosen, so you can see what it does. Trying a skill does not add it.
Add a skill
Select + on a card, or Add on the skill's page. The skill moves to Yours and is turned on. The card shows a check mark.
If a skill was made by someone else and Bluedeer's automatic check found something in it, such as a link or text that tries to change Bluedeer's rules, you see what it found first. Select Add anyway only if you trust it.
A skill marked Needs Pro uses a tool your plan does not have. Upgrade to add it.
Turn skills on and off
Select Yours to see your skills in this workspace. Each one has a switch:
- On: the skill shows in the "/" list and Bluedeer can pick it.
- Off: the skill stays in Yours but is not used. Any changes you made to it are kept.
To take a skill out of Yours, select ⋯ next to it, then Remove from Yours. Past chats that used it still read correctly.
A skill with a lock icon is Required by your workspace's owner or admins. It stays on, and you cannot remove it.
