Every plan has a daily and a weekly amount of usage. Extra usage lets you keep going once that runs out, before your plan's usage starts over. It is a balance in dollars, for example "$7.40 left".
When it is used
Bluedeer always uses your plan's own usage first. Extra usage is only used after the plan's daily or weekly usage has run out. When your plan's usage starts over, Bluedeer goes back to using it.
Your balance can hold two kinds of extra usage:
- Gifted extra usage from Bluedeer. It is used first, and it is used automatically.
- Extra usage you bought. It is used only after the gifted part, and only while extra usage is turned on and your monthly cap has room. Read Set a monthly cap.
Turn it on
- Make sure your personal workspace is selected.
- Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and select Manage workspace.
- Select Extra usage.
- Turn on Use extra usage, then set a Monthly cap above $0.
Every cap starts at $0, so nothing you bought is spent until you choose a cap. You can also turn it on from a chat: when a reply stops at your limit, the message offers Turn on extra usage.
What it costs
Extra usage is spent as you use Bluedeer: a longer reply, a larger file or a more capable model uses more of it. Manage workspace, under Extra usage, shows what is left, what you spent this month and what you spent in all.
Good to know
- It works on every plan, Free included.
- Extra usage you bought doesn't expire, and it stays when you change or cancel your plan.
- It isn't refundable. Read Add funds.
- Your own extra usage is used only in your personal workspace. A shared workspace has its own, which its owner and admins manage. Read Extra usage in a shared workspace.
- If you delete your account, the extra usage left on it is lost. The deletion review says how much.
