On the Free plan you can send 3 voice messages a day, and each recording can be up to 1 minute long. The limit is the same in the web app and in the phone app. To record a voice message on the web, see How do I add files, voice messages or @ mentions to a message?
What counts
- Each recording counts once Bluedeer sends it to be turned into text. This counts even if that turning into text then fails.
- Typed messages, files and pasted text do not count.
- A recording that is sent again, or read again later, does not count a second time.
When the limit resets
The limit starts over every day at midnight UTC, the same time as your other daily usage. Read Check your usage and what happens at a limit to see how much of your usage you have used.
What you see at the limit
If you try to send a fourth voice message in one day, Bluedeer does not turn the recording into text and does not answer it. Your message stays in the chat with the recording attached, and the reply says:
Free includes 3 voice messages a day, up to 1 minute each. You've used today's, so type your message instead, or upgrade for more.
Type your message instead, or wait until the limit starts over. In your personal workspace the reply also has an Upgrade plan button, which opens Plan & billing. If a reply does not come back at all, read What happens to my message if it does not send?
Recordings longer than 1 minute
The app stops a recording by itself after 1 minute and attaches it, with the notice "Recording stopped at the 60 second limit and was attached." This is the normal way a long recording ends.
A recording that is still longer than the Free limit when Bluedeer checks it is not used. The message says: "This recording is longer, so record a shorter one or type your message." That recording still counts as one of the day's 3.
Shared workspaces
In a shared workspace, the voice limit comes from your seat in that workspace, not from your personal plan. Upgrading your personal plan does not change it, so the message does not offer an upgrade button.
Paid plans
Paid plans have no separate voice message limit. Their usual daily and weekly usage limits still apply, as described in Check your usage and what happens at a limit.
