You can share a chat up to any finished assistant reply. The shared chat includes that reply and everything before it.
Open the share menu
- Open the chat.
- Under the assistant reply you want to share up to, tap the ellipsis button. Its label is "Share or export this conversation through this message".
- The menu opens with the heading "Share up to here".
The ellipsis button appears only under assistant replies that have finished, or that ended with an error.
Create a link
- Choose Share live to keep the shared chat current up to this message, or Share a snapshot to freeze the chat as it is now.
- Choose who can open the link.
- Public: anyone with the link.
- Workspace: members of this workspace.
- Specific people: add the email addresses of the people you want to share with. Each of them signs in or enters a code sent to that address before they can open the link.
- Tap Create link. The link is copied to the clipboard, and the app confirms with "Live link copied" or "Snapshot link copied". When you edit an existing link, the button says Save access instead.
For some replies, Share a snapshot is greyed out and cannot be chosen. Choose Share live instead.
Manage your links
Links you have created appear in the menu. For each link you can:
- The copy button (labelled "Copy live link" or "Copy snapshot link") to copy it again.
- The edit button (labelled "Edit live link access" or "Edit snapshot link access") to change who can open it.
- The revoke button (labelled "Revoke live public link" or "Revoke snapshot public link") to stop the link from working. The app confirms with "Chat link revoked".
Export a copy
Tap Export a copy to create a Markdown file of the chat up to this reply. The file leaves out attachments and interactive content, and opens in your phone's share sheet. An exported copy is not affected when you revoke a link.
Temporary chats cannot create a public link. You can still export one. The exported file remains after you leave the temporary chat.
