How do I save, share or copy a link to an image or chart on the phone?

Explains the buttons under images, charts, diagrams, tables and presentations in a chat, including Save to artifacts and Copy public link.

Images and visual outputs in a chat have a row of buttons under them. The buttons available depend on the kind of output.

What the buttons do

  • Share opens your phone's share sheet with the image or file.
  • Save to artifacts saves the output to the top level of Files in the workspace you are in. The app then confirms with a message such as "Saved to artifacts".
  • Copy public link creates a link to the output and copies it to the clipboard. The app confirms with "Public link copied. Anyone with the link can view."
  • Fullscreen opens the output full screen.
  • Copy puts the output's content on the clipboard. For diagrams this is the image.

Save an output to Files

  1. Tap Save to artifacts under the output.
  2. Open the Files tab. The saved item is at the top level of the folder list for that workspace.
  1. Tap Copy public link under the output.
  2. Wait for the confirmation, then paste the link where you need it.

If the link cannot be created, the app shows "Couldn't copy the public link. Please try again."
