How do I share a chat as plain Markdown text?

Add .md to the end of a chat share link to get the chat as plain Markdown text, which you can paste into another tool.

Every chat share link has a plain Markdown form. It holds the chat's title, then each message under a heading that shows who wrote it, either User or Bluedeer. If the link was made for one message, the text stops at that message.

Get the Markdown form

Take your share link, which looks like https://bluedeer.ai/share/abc123, and add .md to the end:

https://bluedeer.ai/share/abc123.md

Developers can get the same text from the normal link by asking for it with the request header Accept: text/markdown.

Who can open it

The Markdown form follows the same access rules as the chat's share page:

  • A Public link opens without signing in.
  • A Workspace or Specific people link needs the viewer to be signed in as a permitted person. Without that, the page answers that sign-in is needed.
  • A link that has expired or been revoked no longer works.

Use it

Copy the text and paste it into another tool, or give it to another AI assistant to read.
