How do I turn on two-factor authentication?

Turn on two-factor authentication in Settings with an authenticator app, so that signing in also asks for a 6-digit code.

Two-factor authentication adds a second step when you sign in. These steps are for the web app.

Turn it on

  1. Open Settings and choose the Account tab.
  2. Under Security & Authentication, find Two-factor authentication and click Set up.
  3. In the Set up two-factor authentication window, scan the QR code with an authenticator app. If you cannot scan it, click Copy the key and enter the key in your app.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code that the app shows in 6-digit code, then click Turn on.

After it is on, signing in asks for a 6-digit code from your authenticator app. In some cases Bluedeer sends the code to your email address instead. The sign-in screen says which.

Turn it off

  1. In the Two-factor authentication row, click Turn off.
  2. In the Turn off two-factor authentication? window, enter a code from your authenticator app.
  3. Click Turn off.

Your password alone signs you in after that.

If the code keeps being refused, the sign-in step may have expired. Start the sign-in again.
