# Accept a team invite

How to join a team from the invitation email, and what to do if you do not want to join.

An invitation is sent to one email address. You can accept it only with that address.

## Accept on the web

1. Open the link in the invitation email. It opens the invitation page, which says who invited you, the team, and your role.
2. Sign in with the email address the invitation was sent to. If you are signed in to a different account, choose **Use another account**.
3. Select **Join team**. If the invitation shows the team's name, the button reads **Join** followed by that name.

To refuse the invitation, select **Decline** instead.

After you join, the team appears in the workspace menu. Your role is the one the invitation gave you. The seat that was reserved for the invitation is the one you use.

## Accept on the phone

Open the invitation link on your phone. The app shows the team and your role. If you are signed in, select **Join** followed by the team's name, or **Join workspace** when the name is hidden. If you sign in with another address, the app tells you to sign in with the one the invitation was sent to. If you are not signed in, the button reads **Sign up to join**. Sign up with the invited address. After you sign up, the invitation also appears in **Notifications**, where you can join it with **Join workspace**.
