# Gifts from Bluedeer: extra usage, badges and messages

What happens when Bluedeer gives you extra usage, a badge or a message, and where to find each.

Bluedeer sometimes gives people a gift: extra usage, a badge, or a message. You don't need to do anything to accept one. It is added to your account once, within about 15 minutes, or as soon as you sign in.

Each gift also arrives as a notification in the **Inbox** of your personal workspace, and on your phone if notifications are on.

## Extra usage (bonus allowance)

A gift of extra usage adds to your **bonus allowance**. The notification says how much was added, for example "$5 of extra usage added".

- It is used in your personal workspace, after your plan's own daily or weekly usage runs out. Until then, your plan's usage is used first.
- It carries over from day to day and week to week until it is used up. It doesn't expire when your plan's limits start over.
- It works on every plan, Free included, however you pay: on the web, in the App Store or on Google Play.
- It isn't used in shared workspaces. A shared workspace's usage comes from its seats.

To see how much bonus allowance you have left:

1. Make sure your personal workspace is selected.
2. Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and select **Manage workspace**.
3. Select **Usage**.

Under **Bonus allowance**, you see how much is left and the gifts that added to it. On the phone, open **Manage workspace** in your personal workspace and scroll to **Bonus allowance**.

When your plan's usage and your bonus allowance are both used up, a reply stops with a message that says so and when your plan's limit starts over.

## Account credit

Account credit comes from referral rewards, and from gifts Bluedeer gave before gifts became extra usage. It comes off your next plan payment on the web. It can't pay for plans bought in the App Store or Google Play. You see it under **Account credit** on the same **Usage** page. Account credit doesn't change your usage limits.

## Badges

A badge shows on your profile. On the web, open **Settings**, then **Account**, and your badges appear under your name. On the phone, open **Settings**; your badges are at the top of the **Account** page.

## Messages

A message from Bluedeer arrives in the **Inbox** of your personal workspace. It shows no sender, because it comes from Bluedeer itself.
