# What does the iPhone app ask permission for?

Explains the microphone, photo library and notification permissions on iPhone, and how to change them after you decline.

The Bluedeer app asks for three permissions on iPhone. Each one is asked for only when you use the feature it supports.

## Microphone

The app asks for microphone access the first time you record a voice message, with the message "Bluedeer needs access to your microphone to record voice messages." Without it, you cannot record.

To change the choice later, open the **Settings** app, scroll to **Bluedeer**, and turn **Microphone** on or off.

## Photo library

When you tap **Photo** in the attachment menu, the app asks for access to your photo library so you can pick images. If you decline, the photo picker does not open.

To change the choice later, open the **Settings** app, tap **Bluedeer**, then **Photos**.

## Notifications

The app asks for permission to send notifications when you turn on **Push Notifications** under **Settings > App > Notifications**. iPhone asks whether Bluedeer may send alerts, badges and sounds.

If you declined earlier, the row says "Previously denied". Tap it, then tap **Open Settings** to change the permission. You can also turn notifications off in the **Settings** app under **Bluedeer**.

All notifications about scheduled tasks share one group, so they appear together in Notification Center.
