# Use Slack and Apps Script

Lists what the assistant can do with Slack and Google Apps Script, and which of their actions ask you first, on the Pro plan or higher. Notion and Jira are connectors you add from Popular connectors.

Slack and Google Apps Script need the Pro plan or higher. On Free or Economy, the assistant cannot use them. Each one is connected from a card in chat. Actions that ask you first wait for your approval in chat. To change which actions ask first, read [How do I approve, allow or stop an action from a connector?](https://support.bluedeer.ai/connectors/general/approve-connector-actions.md).

## Slack

The assistant can:

- Find channels by name, and find teammates by name or email.
- Send a message to a channel, mention people, and reply in a thread.

Text messages are sent right away. Sending files asks you first.

## Google Apps Script

The assistant can:

- List your script projects, and read a project's files.
- Create a standalone project, optionally attached to a Google Doc or Sheet.
- Replace a project's code, and list its deployments.

Running a function asks you first. Replacing a project's code overwrites all of its files and runs right away, so check the project before you ask for it.

## Notion

Notion is not a built-in service. To work with your Notion pages and databases, add the **Notion** connector from **Popular connectors**. It is Notion's own connector: you sign in with your own account on Notion's page and choose the Notion workspace to connect. The assistant can then reach what your Notion account can reach in that workspace. Only you can use the connectors you add; everyone in the workspace connects their own. In a personal workspace this needs the Pro plan or higher. Its tools ask you first until you change them. Read [Connect a popular connector with one click](https://support.bluedeer.ai/connectors/pre-built/popular-connectors.md).

Notion used to be a built-in service. If you connected it that way, that connection is no longer used: add the Notion connector instead.

Your Notion sign-in expires about every 180 days, so you will need to connect Notion again about twice a year. When it expires, the connector shows **Not connected**. Select **Connect your account** on it to sign in again.

## Jira and Confluence

Jira is not a built-in service. To work with Jira work items and Confluence pages, add the **Atlassian** connector from **Popular connectors**. You sign in with your own account on Atlassian's own page. Only you can use the connectors you add; everyone in the workspace connects their own. Read [Connect a popular connector with one click](https://support.bluedeer.ai/connectors/pre-built/popular-connectors.md).
