# Why won't my connector connect or sign in?

Read a connector's status and fix the common causes of Can't connect, Needs sign-in, and actions that do not complete.

Each custom connector shows one status.

- **Connected.** The connector is working.
- **Needs sign-in.** The connector is saved, but its provider sign-in is not finished. Select **Sign in**.
- **Can't connect.** Bluedeer could not reach the connector or read its tools. Owners and admins see the last error under the connector.
- **Off.** The connector is turned off. Select **Turn on**.

## Common problems

**The sign-in didn't complete.** Return to the connector and select **Sign in** again. Finish the steps at the provider before you come back.

**The connector refused the credentials.** The token is wrong, or it is sent in the wrong place. Check the token, then the header name or field name, and the text before the token.

**Could not connect to the connector.** Check the address. It must start with https and must be a public address that can be reached from the internet. Also check that the server is running.

**The server URL must use https**, **must not contain a username or password**, or **is not a public internet address.** Correct the address and save again.

**Custom connectors are available on the Pro, Premium, and Business plans.** Your workspace is on a plan without custom connectors. Change the plan in Manage workspace. Your connectors are kept.

**Only workspace owners and admins can manage connectors.** Ask the owner or an admin to make the change.

**This connector doesn't list any tools yet.** Select **Refresh tools**. If the list is still empty, the server may not offer any tools.

## Actions that do not complete

- **It was approved, but it did not complete.** The action started but failed. Try again, and select **Test** on the connector if the problem continues.
- **Action Expired.** The approval came too late. Ask again.
- **A tool is missing from the chat.** Check that the tool is turned on and that the connector is connected.

If none of this helps, write to support@bluedeer.ai and include the connector name and the message you see.
