# Manage a custom connector's tools

Test a connector, refresh its tool list, choose which tools run and which ask first, turn a connector off, and remove it.

Owners and admins manage a custom connector from the **Connectors** tab on the web, or from **Connections** in Manage workspace on the phone. Members can see the connector and its tools, but cannot change them.

## Test and refresh

- Select **Test** to check that Bluedeer can reach the connector. A working connector shows **Connection works** with the number of tools available. If it fails, the reason is shown under the connector.
- Select **Refresh tools** to read the tool list again. If the connector gained tools, they ask first. The result tells you how many were added and removed.

## Choose each tool's setting

On the web, open the connector to see its tools. Each tool has two checkboxes.

- **On.** Clear it to turn the tool off.
- **Ask first.** Keep it ticked so the assistant asks before using the tool. Clear it so the tool runs without asking.

Use **All ask first** or **Turn all off** to change every tool at once.

A tool that asks first can be used only in chat, where you can approve it. A tool that runs without asking can also be used in scheduled tasks.

## Turn a connector off, or edit it

- Select **Turn off** to stop the assistant using the connector. Select **Turn on** to start again.
- Select **Edit** to change the name, the address or the sign-in.
- If the connector shows **Needs sign-in**, select **Sign in**. Select **Sign out** to remove the workspace's sign-in at the provider.

## Remove a connector

1. Select **Remove**.
2. Confirm with **Remove connector**.

The assistant stops using the connector's tools right away, in every chat and scheduled task in the workspace.

On the phone, tap the connector under **Connections**. The same options are listed as **Turned on**, **Test connection**, **Refresh tools**, **Edit**, **Sign out** and **Remove connector**.
