# Who can see a project?

In a team, a project is either only yours or visible to everyone in the team, and its chats, files and tasks follow that choice, while projects in a personal workspace are always private.

These steps are for the web app.

## Create a project

1. Open the workspace you want, using the workspace name at the top of the sidebar.
2. Click **Projects**, then click **New project**. Viewers in a team can open projects but cannot create them.
3. Enter a **Name** and, if you like, a **Description**.
4. Under **Visibility**, choose one of the options below.
5. Click **Create project**.

## The two choices in a team

- **Only me**: only you can see the project. A team admin who manages someone else's project sees **Only its creator** instead.
- **Everyone in the team**: every member of the team can see the project.

The chats, files and tasks in a project follow its visibility. If you later change the project's visibility, those items change with it. An item that you gave its own visibility keeps that setting.

## Personal workspaces

Projects in a personal workspace are always private, so the visibility choice does not appear. Only you can see them.
