# How do I add a chat to a project and pin it there?

Add a chat to a project from its menu, pin it inside the project so it stands out, or remove it from the project again.

These steps are for the web app. Read [What is a project?](https://support.bluedeer.ai/bluedeer/projects-and-memory/what-is-a-project.md) first if you have not used projects before.

## Add a chat to a project

1. Click the more actions button (three dots) on the chat's row in the sidebar.
2. Click **Move to project**.
3. Choose the project, then click **Add to project**. If the chat is already in a project, the button reads **Move to project**.

You can also click **New chat** on a project's page. That chat starts inside the project.

## Pin a chat inside a project

1. Open the project and go to the **Chats** tab.
2. Click the more actions button for the chat, then choose **Pin in project**.

A pinned chat shows the label **Pinned in this project**. Choose **Unpin in project** to remove the pin.

Everyone who can see the project sees the pin. The author of the chat, or a team admin or owner, can change it.

## Remove a chat from a project

Choose **Remove from project** from the chat's menu. The chat is not deleted, and it keeps the visibility it has.
