# How do I sign out?

Sign out of Bluedeer on this device from the account menu on the web, or from Settings in the phone app. Signing out here does not sign out your other devices.

Signing out ends your sign-in on the device you are using. Your chats, files and settings stay on your account, and you can sign in again at any time.

To sign out a different device, see [How do I see and sign out other devices?](https://support.bluedeer.ai/bluedeer/account-and-security/signed-in-devices.md)

## On the web

You can sign out from the account menu, or from Settings if you want to be asked first.

**From the account menu (no question asked):**

1. Click the account button at the bottom of the sidebar to open the account menu.
2. Click **Sign out**.

Bluedeer signs you out straight away. It does not ask you to confirm.

**From Settings (asks first):**

1. Open **Settings** from the account menu.
2. Choose the **App & System** tab and scroll to the bottom.
3. Click **Sign Out**.
4. In the box that asks **Are you sure you want to sign out?**, click **Sign Out** to confirm, or **Cancel** to stay signed in.

## On the phone

1. Open **Settings**. Tap the account button at the top right of Home, then tap **Settings**. See [What can I change in Settings on the phone?](https://support.bluedeer.ai/mobile/general/change-settings-on-the-phone.md)
2. Choose the **App** tab and scroll down to **Account actions**.
3. Tap **Sign Out**.
4. Bluedeer asks **Sign out?** and reminds you that you will need to sign in again. Tap **Sign Out** to confirm, or **Cancel** to stay signed in.
