# How do I delete my account?

Delete your account from Settings after typing your email address to confirm, and it is deleted 30 days later unless you sign in again before then.

These steps are for the web app.

## Before you start

- If you own a team, transfer its ownership or delete the team first. Bluedeer does not let you delete your account while you own a team.
- Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google. Deleting your account does not cancel them, so cancel them in your Apple or Google account settings.
- A subscription bought on the web stops renewing at the end of its current period.

## Delete the account

1. Open **Settings** and choose the **Account** tab.
2. Under **Delete account**, click **Delete account…**.
3. In the box labelled **Type** followed by your email address, and **to confirm**, type your email address exactly.
4. Click **Delete account**.

You are signed out on every device straight away.

## What happens next

Your account is deleted 30 days after you confirm. If you sign in again within those 30 days, the deletion is cancelled.

Deletion removes your conversations, files, memories, tasks and connected integrations. Content you shared in a team workspace stays with that team.
