# How do I change my name or password?

Change your display name and your password in Settings under Account, knowing that a password change signs you out everywhere.

These steps are for the web app. Open **Settings** from the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar, then choose the **Account** tab.

## Change your display name

1. Click **Edit name**.
2. In the **Display name** box, type the name you want.
3. Click **Save**. The button stays off until the name is different from the current one.

## Change your password

1. Under **Security & Authentication**, find **Password** and click **Change**.
2. In the **Change password** window, enter your **Current password**, then a **New password** of at least 8 characters, then the same password in **Confirm new password**.
3. Click **Change password**.

When the change is saved, Bluedeer signs you out on every device. Sign in again with the new password.
